My name is Via and I reside on
the beautiful island of Guam, where the ocean is about a 5 to 10 minute drive from any standpoint and the sunsets are as breathtaking as the mosquitos are abundant. I’m about to enter my fourth and final year of undergraduate school and yes, the impending stress of adulthood is every bit as terrifying as they said it would be.
I’m not quite sure what it is I want to do in life, but I do know that I love to read, I love to write, and I love the outdoors.
I started this blog mainly for 2 reasons:
- I am an aspiring writer (I mean, what does that even mean, right?) and one of my goals is to become a published author. I’m not sure if that will be the path I’ll end up on, but I feel I owe it to myself to try. I’ve also learned that the key to bettering my craft is to open it up to criticism. So please feel free to interact with me and let me know what you think I may be doing wrong or right. I’d really appreciate it!
- There are many things I wish I had known before entering college. Things that could’ve saved me so much money and that would’ve helped me better prepare myself. There are also many aspects of growing up that have caught me by surprise and lessons I’ve gleaned from those experiences. This blog, in many ways, is a record of what the universe has taught me so far and a timeline of my progression both as a writer and as a regular person navigating my way through life.
Happy reading, everyone!
